The food is excellent, authentic and by far the best Mexican spot in the west end. I've been visiting El Sombrero for years! I have tried quite a bit of the menu and all items are delicious.
The food portions were so worth the price. Tasted almost like the food I had in Mexico. Don’t know how this place went unnoticed. Only thing I would wish is if the place had A/C. But overall, everything else was great!
Amazing spot. The burritos are huge and delicious. Staff was super friendly and fast. The summer patio is really nice. They even have Mexican Cola.

I heard about this place from a friend. Finally decided to go & try it out today. And I wasn't disappointed at all. Warm welcoming, very clean eating area and kitchen. Nice christmas music. Very family oriented. Went there for lunch. Had the Wet burrito with beef, was soooo good. I enjoyed it so much. I think it's the best burrito I ever had. Seriously!! My new burrito hub for sure! I can't wait to go there again with my family and friends
it's between a typical burrito place and a nice full service Mexican restaurant and priced as such. We had the chicken taco salad, beef tacos, chicken tacos. All were very good. Fresh. Taste home made. No extra charge for guacamole. I don't like guac so they do it extra on my wife's taco. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. clean. Eat on real dishes. Cutlery was clean. Chicken was moist. Taco salad was fresh, iceberg lettuce, Italian dressing.
There’s your average everyday Mexican spots with long menus and lots of options that make good food but nothing about it is exceptional. This place is not that. This is real Mexican food, quality food, has that home made touch you just can’t get anywhere else. Tacos are great, I preferred the beef. Quesadilla is great as well, nachos and chilli are fantastic.
This restaurant is absolutely the best authentic Mexican food in the area. The service is fast, delicious enchiladas and other dishes. They also have an app to order food daily, from breakfast to lunch and dinner options. Thank you! I got the veggie enchiladas and I absolutely loved every bite! The veggie enchilada comes with a side of rice and beans and the portions are so filling. I love the authenticity of the food and the gorgeous outdoor dining, as well as the sangrias!
